What we’re reading on Wednesday morning.Farewell, Johnny Fontane: Al Martino, the Italian-American baritone who had hits with “Spanish Eyes” and “Volare,” and who portrayed the Sinatra-esque singer Johnny Fontane in “The Godfather” — you know, the guy whose career troubles necessitate the delivery of a certain horse head to a certain producer’s bed — has died at 82.
